Vampire Survivors Vento Sacro Guide

Vento Sacro icon, a weapon in Vampire Survivors
Patch v1.13 / Base game weapon

Horizontal slash storm that scales with every stat. Walk-bonus damage and 5% base crit.

Base damage: 5Cooldown: 2.0sUnion: Fuwalafuwaloo (Bloody Tear)

Vento Sacro scales with every single stat bonus in the game, which is the line the wiki effects block buries under two paragraphs of slash mechanics. Most weapons have an Ignores list. Vento Sacro has none. Might, Area, Speed, Duration, Amount, Cooldown, Luck, and Move Speed all stack into the damage curve, which is why this weapon outscales most contemporaries by the end of a run.

The second buried mechanic is the walking damage bonus. According to the wiki, continuous movement adds flat damage that caps at 5 times the weapon level. Level 8 tops out at 40 flat damage on top of the per-hit number, but the bonus resets the moment the character stops. Standing still on a Vento Sacro run leaks more damage than any other movement habit in the game.

Build context. Vento Sacro is Zi'Assunta Belpaese's starting weapon, unlocked by surviving 15 minutes as Zi'Assunta. The path to the Fuwalafuwaloo union goes through Bloody Tear rather than a passive item, which makes this a union-target weapon rather than a standard evolution.

This guide covers the all-stats-scale mechanic, the Fuwalafuwaloo union that requires Bloody Tear at level 8, the walking damage cap and reset rule, the best Zi'Assunta Belpaese build, and the Slash (XVI) arcana that doubles the crit multiplier from 2x to 4x.

  • What it is Vento Sacro icon Vento Sacro, Zi'Assunta Belpaese's base game starter. Horizontal slashes that scale with every stat plus a walking damage bonus.
  • Unions into Fuwalafuwaloo icon Fuwalafuwaloo at max level when paired with a max-level Bloody Tear icon Bloody Tear. No passive gate.
  • Best with Bracer icon Bracer, Duplicator icon Duplicator, and Luck for crit-rate scaling. Slash (XVI) arcana is the standout.
  • Skip when the run wants stationary corner-camping. The walking damage bonus resets on stop, which cuts off the largest single damage scaler the weapon has.

How Vento Sacro Works

Vento Sacro creates multiple horizontal slashes in front of the character that damage every enemy in the hitbox. The wiki effects block specifies the fire-rate mechanic: Move Speed increases the overall fire rate when moving. The moment the character stops, the weapon falls back to the default 2.0-second Cooldown.

Per the wiki, the weapon scales with all stat bonuses without any Ignores list. Speed extends the slashes farther horizontally. Duration makes the hitbox linger. Critical hits fire at a 5% base chance for 2x damage, and Luck raises the crit roll directly. Limit Break caps Amount at +20 over the level track.

According to the wiki, the walking damage bonus is what separates Vento Sacro from a normal stat-scaler. Continuous movement adds flat damage equal to distance walked divided by 200,000, capped at 5 times the weapon level. Level 8 caps the bonus at 40 flat damage. The trail of light blue particles arcing upward indicates how high the bonus is at any moment. Stopping resets the trail.

Build Tip

Walk in continuous arcs rather than back-and-forth. The walking damage bonus scales with distance walked, so every direction reversal cuts the count short. In actual play, kiting in a slow spiral keeps the trail at maximum and lets the slashes hit at 40 flat extra damage per shot at level 8.

Limit Break adds Might +0.5% per pick (rarity 10), Area +2.5% to a 1000% cap, Speed +5% to a 300% cap (rarity 10), Duration +100ms per rarity-1 pick to +2.0s, and Amount +1 to a 20-pick cap. Per the wiki, the Speed Limit Break is the strongest multiplier here because Speed extends each slash horizontally AND raises the moving fire-rate, double-dipping into damage per second.

Fuwalafuwaloo Union with Bloody Tear

Vento Sacro does not evolve. It UNIONS into Fuwalafuwaloo with Bloody Tear, which is a different mechanic from the standard passive-item evolution gate. The wiki specifies both weapons must reach max level (level 8) and both must be present when a chest opens after minute 11. No passive item is involved.

Bloody Tear is the evolution of Vampire Killer via Hollow Heart, so the full Fuwalafuwaloo chain requires the player to evolve Whip into Bloody Tear FIRST, then level Vento Sacro to max alongside it. Most experienced Zi'Assunta runs front-load Hollow Heart to push Bloody Tear online by minute 9, then ride Vento Sacro to level 8 in the same window.

Vento Sacro (max)Bloody Tear (max)Fuwalafuwaloo
Build Tip

Evolve Whip into Bloody Tear FIRST. Hollow Heart needs to be at max before the Bloody Tear evolution chest fires, and that gate is slower than Vento Sacro\'s own level climb. Bricking the union almost always comes from a Bloody Tear that never evolves, not a Vento Sacro stuck at level 7.

Best Zi'Assunta Belpaese Build for Vento Sacro

Zi'Assunta's kit is a Belpaese family character: she gains bonus Might and Recovery per level, and her starting weapon (Vento Sacro) scales harder on her kit-level Might than on most stat sources. The build below pushes Vento Sacro to max while staging Whip and Hollow Heart for the Bloody Tear union.

Character Zi'Assunta Belpaese character iconZi'Assunta Belpaese (Vento Sacro lead; Might and Recovery per level)
Passive 1 Bracer passive iconBracer (Projectile Speed widens slashes horizontally; double-dips on fire rate)
Passive 2 Duplicator passive iconDuplicator (extra slash per cycle; capped at +20 with Limit Break)
Passive 3 Spinach passive iconSpinach (Might scales every slash, no Ignores tag blocks it)
Passive 4 Empty Tome passive iconEmpty Tome (Cooldown reduction; Duration adds hitbox linger)
Passive 5 Pummarola passive iconPummarola (Recovery feeds Zi'Assunta's kit healing cycle)
Passive 6 Crown passive iconCrown (Growth speeds the climb to max Vento Sacro and Bloody Tear together)

In our testing, this build is online around minute 11 once Vento Sacro and Bloody Tear both reach level 8. Past minute 16, Fuwalafuwaloo with stacked Bracer and Duplicator covers a horizontal strip the entire screen wide. The walking damage bonus carries the run through hyper Cappella Magna and the Belpaese-themed stages.

Synergies and Arcanas

Slash (XVI) is the standout arcana pick for Vento Sacro. Per the wiki, Slash doubles the crit multiplier from 2x to 4x, which more than doubles the damage on every Luck-rolled critical hit. With a Clover and Stone Mask Greed-Curse trade pushing the crit roll above 20%, the arcana turns one in five slashes into a 4x damage spike.

Divine Bloodline (IX) is the alternative when the run leans defensive. The wiki specifies that Divine Bloodline lets Vento Sacro slashes deal extra flat damage based on Armor stat. Pale Diamond Incursion (V) adds a Speed-to-Cooldown conversion and aims slashes horizontally at the nearest enemy, which is the standout for precision Reaper-killing builds.

Across multiple runs, Vento Sacro pairs cleanly with any weapon that also rewards continuous movement. Alchemy Whip and other Belpaese-family weapons share Zi'Assunta's Might scaling, so a multi-whip build runs every Belpaese kit bonus across three weapons at once.

Vento Sacro Versus Whip

Vento Sacro and Whip both fire horizontal slashes in the faced direction, but they cover different battle profiles. Per the wiki, Whip fires a clean two-side alternating slash that respects Duration and Speed only modestly, while Vento Sacro fires a denser cluster of slashes that scales with every stat AND benefits from continuous movement. Whip is the better stationary-target picker; Vento Sacro is the better kiting-DPS lead.

Pick Vento Sacro when the run can support continuous movement and the build leans into Bracer, Duplicator, and crit stacking. Pick Whip when the build wants a cleaner stat profile and the player wants to corner-camp. In practice, the Fuwalafuwaloo union ends the comparison anyway: the union strictly outscales both parent weapons once it fires at minute 11.

Common Vento Sacro Mistakes

  1. Corner-camping on a Vento Sacro run. The walking damage bonus resets to zero the moment the character stops. Per the wiki, the bonus caps at 40 flat damage at level 8, which is the single biggest damage scaler the weapon has. Camping a corner cuts the bonus off entirely.
  2. Bricking the Bloody Tear half of the union. Fuwalafuwaloo requires Bloody Tear AND Vento Sacro both at max. Bloody Tear evolves from Whip with Hollow Heart, so the chain has its own evolution gate to satisfy before the union chest can fire.
  3. Treating it as a Might-only weapon. Vento Sacro scales with every stat, including Speed, Duration, Amount, and Luck. Stacking pure Might leaves the bigger multipliers (Speed for fire rate and reach, Luck for crit rolls) on the table.
  4. Skipping Slash (XVI) when offered. Per the wiki, Slash doubles the crit multiplier from 2x to 4x. With Luck stacking, this is the single largest damage-arcana upgrade available to the weapon. Passing it for a generic Cooldown arcana is a meaningful loss.
  5. Reversing direction every few steps. The walking bonus scales on distance walked, not on time spent moving. Direction reversals cut the trail count short before the cap. Slow spiral kiting maintains the bonus longer than back-and-forth dodging does.

Vento Sacro FAQ

How do you unlock Vento Sacro in Vampire Survivors?

Survive 15 minutes as Zi'Assunta Belpaese on any stage. Vento Sacro enters the pool for the entire roster the moment Zi'Assunta clears the 15-minute mark. Zi'Assunta herself unlocks by finding her coffin in Cappella Magna.

How do you evolve Vento Sacro?

Vento Sacro does not evolve. It unions with Bloody Tear into Fuwalafuwaloo when both weapons are at max level (level 8) and any chest opens after minute 11. No passive item is required for the union itself.

What is the Fuwalafuwaloo union?

Fuwalafuwaloo is the union of Vento Sacro and Bloody Tear. Per the wiki, both weapons must be at max level when a chest opens after minute 11. Fuwalafuwaloo is also the starting weapon of Rose De Infernas after she is unlocked.

Does Vento Sacro really scale with every stat?

Yes. The wiki effects block specifies that Vento Sacro scales with all stat bonuses with no Ignores list. Might, Area, Speed, Duration, Amount, Cooldown, Luck, and Move Speed all stack into the damage curve.

What is the walking bonus damage on Vento Sacro?

Continuous movement adds flat damage equal to distance walked divided by 200,000, capped at 5 times the weapon level. Level 8 caps the bonus at 40 flat damage. The bonus resets the moment the character stops moving.

What arcana works best with Vento Sacro?

Slash (XVI). Per the wiki, Slash doubles the crit multiplier from 2x to 4x. With Luck stacking, this is the single largest damage-arcana upgrade available. Divine Bloodline (IX) is the defensive alternative.

Is Vento Sacro a starting weapon?

Yes. Vento Sacro is Zi'Assunta Belpaese's starting weapon. It can also be picked by other characters once unlocked, since the weapon enters the standard pool after the 15-minute Zi'Assunta survival run.

Is Vento Sacro DLC?

No. Vento Sacro is a base game weapon, not a DLC pickup. No DLC purchase is required to unlock Zi'Assunta, Vento Sacro, Bloody Tear, or the Fuwalafuwaloo union.
