Ghost Lino is the Among Us dead crewmate character from Vampire Survivors' Emergency Meeting DLC, uniquely unable to take or deal direct damage. This guide covers the Lifesign Scan evolution unlock path via Paranormal Scan on Polus Replica, the -100% Might hard cap that makes most weapons useless, the instant-kill weapons and damaging arcanas that bypass the cap, the Guardian Pina one-enemy-kill achievement with Rosary and Sarabande of Healing tricks, and why Endless Mode does not extend Ghost Lino runs.
Ghost Lino is a Emergency Meeting DLC character and requires the DLC to be purchased and installed. The DLC also adds the Polus Replica stage where Lifesign Scan is found.
Cast foundyellowinmedical in the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane (Secrets menu) to unlock Ghost Lino instantly. The spell is a direct reference to the classic Among Us accusation phrase "I found Yellow dead in Medical", one of the most common lines in the multiplayer party game. Since Ghost Lino is a yellow dead crewmate and Polus Replica's Medical room is where Lifesign Scan spawns, the spell name is a triple-layered Among Us callback.
If you own Sarabande of Healing (VI), you can unlock Ghost Lino AND Guardian Pina in two consecutive runs. First run: evolve Lifesign Scan. Second run: use Ghost Lino + Sarabande of Healing to kill one enemy and unlock Guardian Pina. See the Guardian Pina section below for the full walkthrough.
Ghost Lino is part of the Emergency Meeting DLC, Vampire Survivors' official Among Us crossover released December 2023. Every aspect of Ghost Lino references Innersloth's hit multiplayer party game.
In Among Us, when a crewmate is killed by the Impostor, they become a ghost that:
Every single one of these mechanics carries over to Vampire Survivors' Ghost Lino:
| Among Us Ghost Trait | Ghost Lino Vampire Survivors Equivalent |
|---|---|
| Can't be killed | Immune to all damage (no HP loss) |
| Can't harm the living | Might hard-capped at -100%, can't damage enemies directly |
| Phases through walls | Ghost Lino ignores walls stat |
| Disappears at match end | Run ends at stage Time Limit, even in Endless Mode |
| Can still do tasks | Lifesign Scan still heals and scans, triggers indirect damage arcanas |
| Yellow crewmate sprite | Ghost Lino's visual design is a yellow floating ghost |
The Polus Replica stage is a direct recreation of Among Us's Polus map - the snowy outpost map added in Among Us's second major content update. Key features:
Ghost Lino has the most unusual mechanical profile of any Vampire Survivors character. Understanding each quirk is essential for building effective runs.
Endless Mode normally extends runs indefinitely past the Time Limit, letting players level up characters to 500+. Since Ghost Lino cannot be damaged, Endless Mode would create an infinite run with no way to end it. The Time Limit end-condition is the game's workaround to keep runs finite. This is the only character with this restriction.
The Guardian Pina character unlocks by defeating one enemy while playing as Ghost Lino. Since Ghost Lino has -100% Might, this requires indirect damage. Here are the proven methods, ranked by ease.
| Arcana | How It Bypasses -100% Might |
|---|---|
| Sarabande of Healing (VI) | Damage triggers on heal, not from Might |
| Divine Bloodline (IX) | Damage based on Max HP delta, ignores Might |
| Blood Astronomia (XXI) | Magnet itself does contact damage on cooldown |
| Game Killer (0) | Gem pickup chain kills enemies by XP logic |
| Disco of Gold (XV) | Gold pickup damage during Gold Fever (with Sarabande) |
Vampire Survivors developer poncle has publicly confirmed that Ghost Lino's Might is hard-capped at -100% and cannot be raised through any in-game means (except Silent Old Sanctuary XX). The indirect damage methods above are the intended solutions to the Guardian Pina puzzle.
Ghost Lino starts with Lifesign Scan, a healing/scanning weapon themed around Among Us vitals monitors.
Lifesign Scan + max-level Mini Ghost = Paranormal Scan.
| Stage | Rating | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Cappella Magna | S-tier | Three Rosary pickups south of spawn guarantee Guardian Pina unlock. Ghost Lino's wall-phasing speeds up item collection. |
| Polus Replica | S-tier | Emergency Meeting DLC home stage. Lifesign Scan, Just Vent, and Emergency Meeting weapons spawn here for Ghost Lino-compatible damage. |
| Suspect Security | A-tier | Open vents instantly kill enemies via Just Vent. Best for efficient Guardian Pina unlocks with Mad Groove arcana. |
| Inlaid Library | A-tier | Contained space accelerates leveling. Good for Paranormal Scan random-stat-boost stacking. |
| Il Molise | B-tier | Safe exploration stage. Good for farming Pentagram or Gorgeous Moon instant-kill chains. |
| Arcana | Priority | Why It Works |
|---|---|---|
Sarabande of Healing (VI) | Must have | Damage triggers on heal, bypassing -100% Might. Lifesign Scan auto-heals, making Sarabande Ghost Lino's primary damage source. |
Divine Bloodline (IX) | High | Damage based on Max HP delta. Ignores Might. Ghost Lino's +156 base HP + Hollow Heart pushes damage into viable range. |
Blood Astronomia (XXI) | High | Magnet deals contact damage on 2-second cooldown. Amount-based, not Might-based. Can mow through weak enemies. |
Mad Groove (VIII) | High | Pulls all stage items to you at start. Critical for fast Rosary grabs (Cappella Magna) or Just Vent pickup (Suspect Security). |
Game Killer (0) | Medium | Gem/rosary pickup chain kills enemies. Slow start, but Ghost Lino's immortality gives it time to build up. |
Disco of Gold (XV) | Medium | Gold pickup damage with Sarabande during Gold Fever. Massive burst damage window. |
| Weapon | Priority | Why It Bypasses -100% Might |
|---|---|---|
Pentagram | Must have | Instant-kill weapon. Clears screen + erases gems. Bypasses Might entirely. |
Gorgeous Moon | Must have | Evolved Pentagram. Stronger screen-clear without the gem-erase drawback. |
Ophion | High | Instant-kill chain weapon. Hits enemies in line. Bypasses Might. |
Just Vent | High | Instant-kill when enemies enter open vents. Polus Replica/Suspect Security stages. |
Sanctuary | High | Screen-wipe damage effect on evolve. Bypasses Might. |
Emergency Meeting | High | Evolved Report!. Instant-kills enemies when triggered. Among Us-themed. |
Infinite Corridor | Medium | Halves enemy HP periodically, ignoring Might. Paired with damage arcana, eventually kills bosses. |
Weapons that heal or trigger based on enemy kills will never function on Ghost Lino because he can't kill enemies with them. Avoid: Soul Eater, Celestial Dusting, Silver Wind, Night Sword, Muramasa, Vicious Hunger, Unjust Ejection. Even though Vicious Hunger and Unjust Ejection sound like instant-kill weapons, they aren't - they require Might-based damage to trigger.
Ghost Lino is not a combat character. His primary value is unlocking Guardian Pina, exploring dangerous stages without risk, and observing damage-arcana mechanics in isolation. Expect low damage output and low kill counts. His immortality + wall-phasing + Time Limit constraint make him the ultimate "utility/exploration" character in Vampire Survivors.
Ghost Lino is a playable character from the Emergency Meeting DLC (December 2023), the Among Us-themed expansion. Ghost Lino is the in-game representation of an Among Us dead crewmate, which cannot be killed but also cannot perform tasks or vote. In Vampire Survivors, this translates to a character that cannot be damaged and cannot deal damage directly, but can still scan for signs of life and complete certain objectives. Their run ends at the Time Limit even with Endless Mode on, mirroring how ghosts in Among Us disappear when the match ends.
Unlock Ghost Lino by evolving the Lifesign Scan into Paranormal Scan. On the Polus Replica stage, pick up the Lifesign Scan weapon from the medical room (right side of the map) or use Mad Groove (VIII) arcana to pull it to you. Level Lifesign Scan to max (level 8) and pick up the Mini Ghost passive item, leveling it to max as well. Open an evolution chest to trigger the evolution into Paranormal Scan. Ghost Lino unlocks at run end for 500 gold. Alternative: cast foundyellowinmedical in the Forbidden Scrolls of Morbane.
Ghost Lino's Might is hard-capped at -100%. Even if you purchase Might PowerUps, equip Spinach, Torrona's Box, or max Golden Eggs, Ghost Lino's Might snaps back to -100% at run start. The only in-game exception is Silent Old Sanctuary (XX), which can temporarily break the cap. This is a deliberate design choice reflecting that Among Us ghosts cannot interact with the living world's physical objects. The -100% Might means most weapons deal zero damage on Ghost Lino regardless of your build.
The spell foundyellowinmedical is a direct Among Us callout line. In Among Us, players report dead bodies by location and color. "I found Yellow dead in Medical" is one of the most common accusations, where a crewmate named Yellow's body was discovered in the Medical bay. Ghost Lino is a yellow-colored dead crewmate, so the spell perfectly matches his canonical "cause of death" scenario. The Medical room on Polus Replica is also where Lifesign Scan spawns, reinforcing the theme.
Defeat one enemy while playing as Ghost Lino. Since Ghost Lino has -100% Might, you must use indirect damage sources. The easiest methods: (1) Rosary pickups on Cappella Magna (3 rosaries spawn south of start, one kill unlocks Pina), (2) Sarabande of Healing (VI) arcana (damages enemies when you heal, Lifesign Scan heals automatically), (3) Just Vent weapon on Suspect Security (lure enemies into open vents for instant kills), or (4) Mad Groove arcana + Rosary for fast Cappella Magna farming.
Lifesign Scan is Ghost Lino's starting weapon. It periodically heals the user based on Recovery and Amount stats. On Ghost Lino it's functionally useless for direct damage but triggers healing-based arcanas. Paranormal Scan (the evolution) does everything Lifesign Scan does AND periodically boosts a random stat for the rest of the run. The random stat boost is permanent and stacks across evolutions, making Paranormal Scan an excellent early-evolve for any character building long-term power. Ghost Lino's +100% Luck helps roll favorable stat boosts.
Ghost Lino builds revolve around indirect damage sources. Essential arcanas: Sarabande of Healing (VI) (damages when healing), Divine Bloodline (IX) (damage based on Max HP delta), Blood Astronomia (XXI) (magnet deals contact damage), or Game Killer (0) (kills based on gem pickup chain). Pair with instant-kill weapons: Pentagram/Gorgeous Moon, Ophion, Emergency Meeting (weapon), Just Vent, and Sanctuary. Infinite Corridor stacks with any damage arcana to eventually kill bosses immune to instant-kills.
Instant-kill weapons bypass Ghost Lino's -100% Might: Pentagram/Gorgeous Moon, Ophion, Emergency Meeting (weapon), Just Vent, Sanctuary, and Infinite Corridor. Damaging arcanas work: Sarabande of Healing (VI), Divine Bloodline (IX), Blood Astronomia (XXI), Game Killer (0). Critical-hit healing weapons pair with Sarabande: Bloody Tear, Fuwalafuwaloo. Weapons that DON'T work: Soul Eater, Celestial Dusting, Silver Wind, Muramasa, Night Sword (all require kills to trigger heal, which Ghost Lino can't produce).
No. Ghost Lino is the only character in the game where Endless Mode does NOT extend the run. The run ends at the stage Time Limit regardless of whether Endless is toggled on. This is by design since Ghost Lino cannot take damage and would otherwise run indefinitely. For this reason, you cannot farm gold or levels infinitely with Ghost Lino. Plan runs around the fixed stage Time Limit (typically 30 minutes on normal stages, shorter on Boss Rash, Bat Country, Tiny Bridge).
Yes, Ghost Lino is excellent for specific progression tasks. Because he's immortal within the Time Limit, he's perfect for: (1) Exploring maps safely - walk through walls to discover hidden rooms, coffins, and stage items without dying. (2) Collecting stage items on dangerous stages (Cappella Magna, Polus Replica). (3) Unlocking Guardian Pina (dedicated achievement). (4) Testing build synergies - observe damaging arcanas in isolation. Ghost Lino is a utility/exploration character, not a combat powerhouse.
