"Items and equipment have a small chance to transform into a Lunar item instead. Items have a 5% (+5% per stack) chance to become a Lunar item instead." At stage generation - not mid-stage - each item that would spawn has a 5% per stack chance to become a random lunar instead. Affects chests, printers, lockboxes, Teleporter reward, and Bazaar cauldrons. Does NOT affect Scavenger sack drops. Not affected by luck. SotV DLC.
Mid-stage pickup
Next stage only
How the Replacement Chance Works
Rolls happen at stage generation, not pickup. When you enter a stage, all items in chests, printers, and interactables are generated. Each one independently rolls the 5% chance. Items you find mid-stage are already locked in. Picking up Eulogy Zero from a Lunar Pod mid-stage takes effect on the next stage only.
Every item source is an independent roll. A stage with 8 chests, 2 printers, and a Teleporter reward has 11 independent rolls. At 1 stack (5%) you'll see roughly 0-1 replacements most stages. At 10 stacks (50%) roughly half of everything becomes lunar.
Teammates share the replacement pool. Since loot is generated for the whole stage, a teammate opening a chest gets the lunar item if their chest was rolled as a replacement - even if they have no Eulogy Zero themselves.
3D Printer cost is unchanged. A white-item printer affected by Eulogy Zero still costs one white item to use - the input rarity stays the same, even though the output became a random lunar.
Not affected by luck at all. 57 Leaf Clover and Purity have zero effect on the 5% roll. The only way to change the replacement rate is more Eulogy Zero stacks.

Pearl farming engine
1. Pick up Eulogy Zero early
The earlier the better. More stages of lunar item generation = more fodder for Cleansing Pools.
2. Enable Artifact of Sacrifice
Monster drops on death. Combined with Eulogy Zero, enemies drop lunar items directly. Stages with no chests mean Cleansing Pools can spawn much more frequently (roughly 2-3x more common).
3. Find a stage with a Cleansing Pool
Complete the Teleporter event first so enemies stop spawning. Then use the Cleansing Pool repeatedly - each use consumes one random lunar item for an 80% Pearl / 20% Irradiant Pearl.
4. Repeat and stack Pearls
Each Irradiant Pearl gives +10% to ALL stats. Stacking 10+ Irradiant Pearls produces a massive permanent stat multiplier.
High Stack Warning
With too many Eulogy Zero stacks, the Cleansing Pool slots themselves can roll as lunar items, making it hard to actually receive Pearls. If farming Pearls is the goal, 1-3 stacks is usually optimal.
Enemy Danger - Lunars on Monsters
Artifact of Evolution + Eulogy Zero = dangerous enemies. With Artifact of Evolution, monsters gain items between stages. Eulogy Zero can replace those items with lunars. Enemies with Shaped Glass (+100% dmg, -50% HP) die easily but deal enormous damage. Enemies with Purity become harder to proc-chain kill.
Enemies can get Egocentrism and orbiting bombs. In Simulacrum and Void Fields, where item accrual is permanent, monsters can stack Eulogy Zero themselves - potentially getting more Eulogy Zero stacks over time and snowballing into high-lunar inventories. In Simulacrum this creates a compounding danger.
Beads of Fealty on a Scavenger is particularly dangerous. If a Scavenger spawns with Beads of Fealty via Eulogy Zero + Artifact of Evolution, defeating that Scavenger takes you to a special Twisted Scavenger fight. Know what your enemies are carrying in long runs.
Frequently Asked Questions
What does Eulogy Zero do in Risk of Rain 2?
Eulogy Zero is a Survivors of the Void lunar item. When entering a new stage, each item generated in that stage has a 5% (+5% per stack) chance to be replaced by a random lunar item instead. This affects chests, 3D Printers, Void Cradles, Void Potential Orbs, lockboxes, the Teleporter reward, and Bazaar cauldrons. It does not affect Scavenger sack drops.
When does Eulogy Zero take effect?
It applies at stage generation - when you enter a new stage. Items on the current stage are already generated when you pick up Eulogy Zero mid-stage (e.g. from a Lunar Pod), so it takes effect starting from the next stage. This also means teammates benefit from your Eulogy Zero since their loot is generated from the same stage pool.
Does Eulogy Zero affect Artifact of Sacrifice drops?
Yes. When the Artifact of Sacrifice is active and monsters drop items on death, those drops are also subject to Eulogy Zero's replacement chance. This makes the Sacrifice + Eulogy Zero combo particularly powerful for generating large numbers of lunar items, which can then be fed into Cleansing Pools for Pearl farming.
Does luck affect Eulogy Zero?
No. Stage generation is explicitly not affected by the luck stat. Neither 57 Leaf Clover nor Purity changes the 5% replacement chance. It is a flat per-item roll that only scales with additional Eulogy Zero stacks.
What is the best use of Eulogy Zero?
The Pearl farming strategy. Use Eulogy Zero with Artifact of Sacrifice to flood stages with lunar items from monster drops, then spend them at Cleansing Pools for Pearls (+10% max HP) and Irradiant Pearls (+10% all stats). High Eulogy Zero stacks can backfire though - with too many stacks the Cleansing Pool slots themselves may roll as lunars, making it harder to actually get Pearls.
Does Eulogy Zero affect enemies?
Yes in specific scenarios. With Artifact of Evolution active, monsters gain items between stages - and those items are subject to Eulogy Zero replacement, meaning enemies can gain dangerous lunar items like Shaped Glass or Egocentrism. In Simulacrum, the same applies. This can make already difficult encounters significantly more dangerous.
