Sixty-three achievements, and the last two ask for 100% and then 112% of the entire game.
Hollow Knight has 63 achievements on PC and Xbox, and the final one asks for 112% game completion. That single requirement is what turns the achievement list into the longest goal in the game.
Per the wiki, 52 of those achievements are in the base game, with the rest split across the Hidden Dreams, Grimm Troupe, and Godmaster content packs. The PlayStation 4 version instead has 35 trophies, including a Platinum.
Most are unmissable and just track collecting charms, masks, and bosses. A small handful are tied to one-time NPC choices, and those are the ones that trip people up on a single save.
This guide groups every achievement by type, flags the missable ones, and calls out the hardest unlocks so you can plan a clean 100% or 112% run.
63 on PC and Xbox, 35 trophies on PS4.
Embrace the Void and Pure Completion, both behind the Godmaster Pantheons.
A few NPC-choice feats like the Nailsmith and Zote outcomes.
Pure Completion needs full 112% and an ending.Achievements split into collectibles, bosses, challenges, endings, and content-pack feats. The wiki states there are 52 base-game achievements plus 11 across the three packs, for 63 total on PC and Xbox.
The Nintendo Switch has no platform achievement system, so according to the wiki it lists them in-game as "Feats." The PS4 version reworks them into 35 trophies topped by the Heart of Hallownest Platinum.
Two completion tiers cap the list. Per the wiki, the Completion achievement needs 100% and an ending, while Pure Completion needs the full 112% that only the content packs make possible.
Achievement progress that needs an ending only fires after you finish the game. In practice, plan to grab your last collectibles, then beat the final boss to bank Completion, Speed Completion, and Steel Heart in one run if you can.
The bulk of the list tracks collecting things, and almost none of it is missable. These tick up naturally as you explore Hallownest.
| Achievement | Requirement |
|---|---|
Charmed / Enchanted / Blessed | First charm, half of all charms, then all charms plus Salubra's blessing |
Protected / Masked | Collect 4, then all 16 Mask Shards |
Soulful / Worldsoul | Collect 3, then all 9 Vessel Fragments |
Grubfriend / Metamorphosis | Rescue half, then all 46 Grubs |
Attunement / Awakening / Ascension | Collect 600, 1800, then 2400 Essence with the Dream Nail |
| Connection / Hope | Open half, then all Stag Stations and find the Stag Nest |
| Cartographer | Buy a map of every area from Cornifer |
According to the wiki there are 45 charms, 16 mask shards, 9 vessel fragments, and 46 grubs in the base game. Our charms guide covers which of those 45 are worth equipping along the way.
Each major boss grants an achievement, and several have a harder dream version worth a second one. The dream fights are the optional damage checks.
| Boss | Dream version |
|---|---|
False Knight (Falsehood) | Failed Champion (Strength) |
Soul Master (Illumination) | Soul Tyrant (Mortality) |
Broken Vessel (Release) | Lost Kin (Peace) |
Hornet (Test of Resolve) | Hornet Sentinel (Proof of Resolve) |
Mantis Lords (Respect) | None |
The Collector (Obsession) | None |
Traitor Lord (Execution) | None |
The wiki notes the Dung Defender (Honour) and Zote in the Colosseum (Rivalry) each add a feat too. The dream bosses hit far harder than their living forms, so save them for after a Nail upgrade.
The challenge group is where the difficulty lives, and the ending group is where the story payoffs sit. Together they hold the most prestigious base-game achievements.
| Achievement | Requirement |
|---|---|
Warrior / Conqueror / Fool | Clear the three Colosseum trials |
| Speedrun 1 / Speedrun 2 | Finish in under 10 hours 30 minutes, then under 5 hours |
| Completion / Speed Completion | 100% and an ending, then the same in under 20 hours |
| Steel Soul / Steel Heart | Finish in Steel Soul mode, then reach 100% in it |
Keen Hunter / True Hunter | Fill the Hunter's Journal, then get the Hunter's Mark |
Ending feats | The Hollow Knight, Sealed Siblings, Dream No More, Passing of the Age |
Per the wiki the three endings and Passing of the Age are separate feats, and the deeper endings need the Void Heart and the Awoken Dream Nail.
Eleven achievements come from the three free content packs, and the Godmaster set is the gatekeeper for 112%. These are the optional extras beyond the base 52.
| Pack | Achievements |
|---|---|
Hidden Dreams (2) | Memory (White Defender), Dark Romance (Grey Prince Zote) |
Grimm Troupe (3) | Grand Performance, Ritual (Nightmare King), Banishment |
Godmaster (6) | Four Pantheon clears, Embrace the Void, Pure Completion |
According to the wiki, Embrace the Void asks you to ascend the
Pantheon of Hallownest, the hardest boss rush in the game. Pure Completion then layers the full 112% on top of that.
Two achievements are far harder than the rest, and a few are genuinely missable on a single save. Knowing both lists up front saves a replay.
The hardest are Embrace the Void and Pure Completion, since both sit behind the Pantheon of Hallownest. In actual play, that single gauntlet is the wall that stops most 112% attempts.
The missable feats are choice-locked. The wiki specifies Purity (slay the
Nailsmith) and Happy Couple (let him retire) are mutually exclusive on one save. Neglect needs you to leave
Zote to die early, and Witness needs you to reach
Quirrel at the Blue Lake at the right point in his story.
Solace, the
Grey Mourner delivery, is not missable but is widely considered one of the most stressful non-boss feats because of the Delicate Flower escort.
The achievement list touches charms, bosses, and completion. These guides cover the pieces the hardest feats depend on.
