The stationary breeder boss of the Royal Waterways, mother of every Fluke, who drops the Flukenest Charm.
Flukemarm is a stationary boss with a single attack: she spawns Flukefeys. Per the wiki, "her defence relies on throwing Flukefeys at her foe." She never moves, never dodges, never closes the distance. The fight is entirely about managing the Flukefey count while damaging her between spawns.
According to the wiki, the lore frames her as a captive mother. "Flukemarm is the mother of all Flukes infesting the Royal Waterways. Her body is used as a nest for young Flukefeys. Like her children, she was Infected and made hostile, although her condition as a breeder prevents her from leaving her cave." The Fluke Hermit's Dream Nail line confirms the relationship: "Mother's glow... so angry... so angry."
The wiki specifies the access gate. "Flukemarm is located in a hidden area of the Royal Waterways. Desolate Dive / Descending Dark is needed to break the breakable floor which leads to this area. Flukemarm can be found at the end of a tunnel in the southwest." The Soul Master spell is the only key to her cave.
This guide covers the Royal Waterways access sequence, the single Spawn attack with its 6-Flukefey cap, the Abyss Shriek plus Shaman Stone three-cast kill, the optional escape route, and the Flukenest Charm drop that pairs with Spell Twister for endgame builds.

Abyss Shriek + Shaman Stone, three uninterrupted casts finish her.Flukemarm is the source of every Fluke in Hallownest. Per the wiki Hunter's Journal, she is "an insatiable breeder. Has populated the Waterways with its kind. Its insides double as a nest for young Flukefeys." The Royal Waterways Fluke population is canonically her children, all born from the body suspended in her cave.
According to the wiki, her cave-bound state is biological, not Infection-driven. "Like her children, she was Infected and made hostile, although her condition as a breeder prevents her from leaving her cave." The Infection made her hostile; the breeding kept her stationary. She cannot pursue the Knight even when angered.
The wiki specifies her Dream Nail-locked dialogue. "Flukemarm cannot be Dream Nailed in regular gameplay, since it is not possible to get close enough to her body for the Dream Nail to reach her. She can only be Dream Nailed when using mods to noclip close enough to her, which gives the following dialogue: Breed... Kill... Keep Away..." Three words; the Infection has reduced her thought to instinct.
Flukemarm sits in a hidden cave in the southwest of the Royal Waterways. Per the wiki, "Desolate Dive / Descending Dark is needed to break the breakable floor which leads to this area. Flukemarm can be found at the end of a tunnel in the southwest." Without the Soul Master spell, the floor is impassable.
According to the wiki, the cave is one of the few rooms in Hallownest where the player is not locked into the fight. "The Knight is not locked into this fight, meaning that it is possible to escape the fight at anytime." Walking out resets her to dormant; returning lets the Knight take another run with full Masks.
The wiki notes the Infection death scene. "When Flukemarm is defeated, the Infection within bursts out, making her explode. She leaves behind the Flukenest Charm." Her post-fight corpse stays in the room and can be nail-bounced for fun, but no further reward triggers from it.
Flukemarm has exactly one attack. Per the wiki, the Spawn pattern works like this: "Flukemarm spits out two Flukefeys, each from any one of her orifices, telegraphed by Infection spewing out of the selected orifices. There can only be a maximum of 6 Flukefeys spawned at once."
According to the wiki, the offensive baseline is one-hit Flukefey kills. "Most offensive tactics require upgrading the Nail enough (at least the Channelled Nail) to kill Flukefeys in one hit or using Fragile Strength / Unbreakable Strength with at least the Sharpened Nail." Without one-hit kills, Flukefey count climbs and the cap-skip never triggers.
Per the wiki, the cleanest no-Charm tactic is the nail-bounce loop. "Repeatedly Nail-bounce off the top of Flukemarm while staying in the air, simultaneously killing her Flukefeys as they fly up to attack. This requires both control and balance but does not require any Charms; though, Longnail or Mark of Pride makes the process much easier." In actual play, the pogo-loop doubles as crowd control.
The fastest Flukemarm route is Abyss Shriek plus Shaman Stone. Per the wiki, "Abyss Shriek is very effective, especially when empowered by Shaman Stone. With this setup, three full casts without interruption kill Flukemarm." The fight becomes a SOUL management puzzle: kill enough Flukefeys to fund three Abyss Shrieks.
Abyss Shriek (spell: 3 uninterrupted casts kill her)
Quick Focus (faster heals between Flukefey waves)According to the wiki, the defensive backup loadout works at lower Nail upgrades. "A defensive tactic involves using the Quick Focus and Stalwart Shell Charms to buy time, Soul Catcher and Grubsong to generate enough SOUL to heal, and Thorns of Agony to help kill the Flukefeys and occasionally damage Flukemarm herself if the Knight is close enough to her." Thorns + Grubsong turn the Flukefey contact damage into a SOUL engine.
The wiki specifies a Cyclone Slash speed tactic. "Use the Cyclone Slash Nail Art while falling down on either side of Flukemarm and repeatedly pressing ATTACK to maximise the number of hits. This can also kill Flukefeys as they spawn." Cyclone Slash chains nail hits while falling past her body.
The wiki notes the single hard rule. "The most important thing to avoid in this fight is falling into the water. Since the Knight cannot attack while swimming, they are left completely defenceless." The water below the platforms is a cost-free reset for Flukefeys but a death sentence for the Knight.
Flukemarm drops the Flukenest Charm. Per the wiki, defeating her "leaves behind the Flukenest Charm." Flukenest converts Vengeful Spirit and Shade Soul into a downward spray of homing flukes. Pairing Flukenest with Defender's Crest creates a flukes-plus-cloud combo widely considered the highest-DPS Charm setup in the game.
According to the wiki, Flukemarm returns in the Pantheon of the Artist as the 8th and final boss. "Pantheon of the Artist, 8th boss. Health: Attuned difficulty 500. Ascended difficulty 900. Arena is missing top left platform compared to base game fight. First 6 Flukefeys have more Health on Ascended difficulty or above." The missing platform makes positioning harder; the first six Flukefey burst is more lethal on Ascended.
The wiki specifies the Hall of Gods tag. "I lie within a maze of pipes. Alluring god of motherhood." The "alluring god of motherhood" framing pairs with the Flukenest reward symbol; the Charm lore line reads as accepting her children as the Knight's own.
Flukemarm anchors the Flukenest spell-build path and recurs as the Pantheon of the Artist final boss. These spokes pick up the threads.
