100% is the base game. The extra 12% is entirely free content packs, and most of it is the Godmaster Pantheons.
112% completion in Hollow Knight is the full game: every base-game point for 100%, plus a flat 12% from the three free content packs. The wiki tracks each point, and they add up cleanly.
The single biggest chunk is charms. Per the wiki, charms are worth 36% on their own, with bosses and equipment at 14% each close behind. Get those three groups and you are most of the way there.
The last 12% is where the difficulty spikes. The Godmaster pack alone holds the
Pantheons, the toughest content in the game.
This guide gives the complete percentage breakdown by category, the content-pack split, the points players miss most, and the order that makes a 112% run least painful.
100% from the base game across twelve categories.
12% from content packs: Grimm Troupe 6, Lifeblood 1, Godmaster 5.

The Godmaster Pantheons gate the final points.Completion is a single percentage you can read in-game once you have World Sense. Per the wiki, it counts points from bosses, charms, equipment, spells, and collectibles, and an ending banks the Completion achievement.
The base game caps at 100%. The wiki specifies the three content packs add 12% on top, so 112% is only reachable with all of them installed, which they are by default on modern versions.
Two achievements ride on this. Completion needs 100% and an ending; Pure Completion needs the full 112%. Our playtime guide covers how long that takes.
The percentage updates the moment you collect a point, so check it against this breakdown to find what you are missing. In practice, a stalled counter almost always means a missed charm or a Warrior Dream ghost.

The jump from 100% to 112% is three free packs, and the points are not evenly split. Godmaster and Grimm Troupe carry almost all of it.
| Pack | Points | Where they come from |
|---|---|---|
Grimm Troupe | 6% | Grimmchild, Weaversong, Dreamshield, Sprintmaster, and the Grimm fights |
Lifeblood | 1% | The Hive Knight boss |
Godmaster | 5% | Godtuner and the four Pantheons |
Per the wiki, the Grimm Troupe pack spreads its 6% across four charms and two boss fights, while Godmaster's 5% is mostly the
Pantheon clears. The Pantheon of Hallownest is the single hardest point in the game.
Chase the big buckets first, because they are also the easiest points per hour. Charms, bosses, and equipment together are 64% of the total.
Collect charms as you explore; at 36% they are the backbone of the run, and our best charms guide covers where each lives. Main bosses come naturally through the main route, and equipment is just the movement abilities you need anyway.
Save the hard points for last. In actual play, the smart order is charms and bosses, then collectibles and Warrior Dreams, then the content packs, ending with the Pantheon of Hallownest once your build is fully online.
A handful of points hide in spots players walk past. These are the usual reasons a counter sits one or two percent short of a tier.
