Aurelionite Risk of Rain 2

Aurelionite Titanic Goldweaver Special Boss

Aurelionite is an optional Special Boss found exclusively on the Gilded Coast hidden realm. A golden Stone Titan created by Providence with soul, she is one of only a handful of bosses with a guaranteed drop. Defeating her gives every player a Halcyon Seed, one of the strongest boss items in the game. She is invulnerable until all Halcyon Beacons are active, creating a unique fight against the clock.

How to Reach Aurelionite

Aurelionite can only be fought in the Gilded Coast, a hidden realm not on the normal stage progression. There are two ways to access it.

Altar of Gold

Rarely spawns on any standard stage. Interacting with it costs gold scaled by difficulty. Activating it opens a Gold Portal to the Gilded Coast. Only one Altar may be active at a time. Captain can hack it for free.

Lunar Seer (Bazaar)

The Gilded Coast can rarely appear as a destination in the Lunar Seer inside the Bazaar Between Time. Spend Lunar Coins to select it as your next stage.

The Halcyon Beacon Mechanic

Aurelionite cannot be damaged until all beacons are active. The fight is structured around buying time to damage her before beacons reset.

1

Find an Altar of Gold on any standard stage and pay to activate it. This opens a Gold Portal to the Gilded Coast.

2

On the Gilded Coast, kill enemies to stockpile gold before activating any beacons. The activation window is limited.

3

Activate 4 Halcyon Beacons to spawn Aurelionite. She spawns but is invulnerable.

4

Activate the remaining 3 Beacons (7 total) to remove invulnerability. Deal damage immediately.

5

If beacons deactivate, repurchase all 7 to regain the damage window. Gold saved from earlier kills funds this.

6

Kill Aurelionite within the beacon window to also complete the Blackout challenge and unlock the Eccentric Vase.

Gold Strategy

Kill as many enemies as possible before activating any beacons. You need enough gold to buy all 7 beacons at once when the time comes. Beacon costs scale with difficulty. Saving gold aggressively in the first few minutes is the single most important preparation for this fight.

Aurelionite Attack Patterns

Aurelionite shares most of the Stone Titan's kit but with additional projectiles on her special. She is slow at 5 m/s, so repositioning between attacks is straightforward if you watch for the telegraphs.

Stone Sword / Fire Rings (Secondary)

Fires 6 fire rings in a line, each spaced 10m apart, centered on your predicted location. Each ring explodes after 1 second at 0.1s intervals in a 7m radius. You can be hit by two blasts simultaneously if standing in the overlap between rings. Reposition laterally when you see the wind-up.

Stone Construct (Utility)

Summons a cluster of rocks above her. After 6 seconds it fires 13 homing lasers, one every 1.5 seconds, for 25 seconds total. Also fires 24 homing projectiles (100% each, 1.0 proc coeff, 2m radius) on activation. Only triggered below 60% HP.

Eye Laser (Special)

Charged beam that tracks your position. Deals 24 x 12.5% damage with 0.15 proc coeff per tick over 3 seconds. 20s cooldown. Cannot fire if you are within 20m of her. Use cover or get point-blank to prevent this attack.

Eye Laser Avoidance

Aurelionite cannot use the Eye Laser if you are within 20m of her. Fighting at point-blank range prevents this attack entirely. However, the Stone Construct homing projectiles are more dangerous at close range, so this is a trade-off. Captain's Microbots shoot down homing projectiles passively, making him exceptionally strong here.

Aurelionite Drop: Halcyon Seed

Every player receives a Halcyon Seed on defeat. This is the only way to obtain it.

Halcyon Seed Boss Item Guaranteed

Summon Aurelionite during the Teleporter event. She fights as an ally until the Teleporter is charged, then disappears and the Seed is returned. One Halcyon Seed drops per player. Stacks multiply her power: +100% HP and +50% damage per additional stack across all players combined.

Mithrix Phase 4
Spawns as ally (not stolen)
Halcyon Seed in Mithrix Phase 4

The Halcyon Seed is not stolen by Mithrix in Phase 4. Instead, Aurelionite spawns as your ally the moment Phase 4 begins, fighting alongside you while you have no items. This is one of the strongest advantages of carrying a Halcyon Seed into the final fight. If the False Son (SotS DLC) is fought with a Halcyon Seed, Aurelionite spawns against you in Phase 3.

How to Beat Aurelionite

The fight is time-gated by the beacons. The strategy is simple: maximize gold income before opening the vulnerability window, then burst her down as fast as possible.

Core Strategy

Kill every enemy that spawns before activating any beacons. Once you have enough gold to buy all 7 simultaneously, activate them in rapid succession and immediately start dealing damage. Aurelionite is slow and telegraphs all her attacks clearly. High single-target DPS survivors end the fight well within one beacon window.

Detailed Tips

Activate all 7 beacons in one pass. If you activate 4 to spawn her and then scramble to find and buy the remaining 3, you risk the timer running out. Scout all beacon locations first and plan your activation route before spending gold.

Use cover from the Eye Laser. The Eye Laser is a long sustained beam. Break line of sight using rocks and terrain on the Gilded Coast. Alternatively, stay within 20m to prevent it from activating at all.

Dodge fire rings laterally. The 6 fire rings in a line are centered on your predicted position. Move to the side after you see the wind-up to step out of all 6 blast zones. Do not retreat backward, which keeps you in the line.

The Blackout challenge requires one clean window. To kill her before beacons deactivate, you need enough DPS to finish the fight in a single vulnerability period. Trophy Hunter's Tricorn makes this trivial as an instant kill.

Artifact of Swarms spawns two Aurelionites. Both have half HP. Two Tricorn shots, two Halcyon Seeds per player. Very efficient if you have the Tricorn.

Best Survivors vs Aurelionite

Aurelionite is slow and stationary, so any survivor with strong single-target DPS performs well. The beacon time limit rewards burst-heavy survivors. Captain is uniquely strong for free Altar access.

Strong Matchups

RailgunnerExcellent

Highest single-target DPS from range. Her XQR system locks on through Aurelionite's slow movement. Can stay far enough away to avoid the Eye Laser's 20m minimum range restriction and end the fight quickly. Top choice for Blackout challenge.

LoaderExcellent

Grapple hook mobility makes dodging fire rings trivial. Charged Gauntlet does massive burst damage to a slow-moving target. Barrier from hits provides tankiness. Can finish Aurelionite well within the beacon window.

CaptainStrong

Can hack the Altar of Gold for free entry saving all gold for beacons. Diablo Strike burst is excellent against a stationary target. Defensive Microbots shoot down Stone Construct homing projectiles passively.

Place both TR12 turrets directly on Aurelionite and they fire continuously during the vulnerability window. Turrets also take care of spawned enemies to maintain gold income between beacon cycles.

Ion Surge flight keeps her above fire ring detonations. Snap Freeze execute and Charged Nano-Bomb burst are effective against a single stationary target. Eye Laser is easier to avoid with permanent flight.

Requires Adjustment

HuntressManageable

Auto-aim spreads shots to surrounding enemies rather than focusing Aurelionite, losing DPS during the vulnerability window. Laser Glaive bouncing also dilutes damage. Manually control targeting by positioning away from other enemies when the window opens.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you reach the Aurelionite?

Find an Altar of Gold on any standard stage and pay to activate it. This opens a Gold Portal to the Gilded Coast. Alternatively, the Gilded Coast can appear as a destination in the Lunar Seer in the Bazaar Between Time. Captain players can hack the Altar for free.

Why is Aurelionite invulnerable?

She is invulnerable until all Halcyon Beacons on the Gilded Coast are active. She spawns after 4 beacons are activated but cannot be damaged until all 7 are active. After a time the beacons deactivate and must be repurchased to re-open the damage window.

What does the Halcyon Seed do?

The Halcyon Seed summons Aurelionite as an ally during Teleporter events. She fights alongside you until the Teleporter is charged, then disappears and the Seed is returned. Multiple stacks across players give her bonus HP and damage. She also spawns during Mithrix Phase 4 and False Son Phase 3 (on the Path of the Colossus).

What is the Blackout challenge?

Defeat Aurelionite before the Halcyon Beacons deactivate. The reward is the Eccentric Vase equipment. To complete it reliably, activate all 7 beacons simultaneously and deal as much burst damage as possible before the window closes.

Can Aurelionite be instantly killed?

Trophy Hunter's Tricorn can instantly kill her while she is vulnerable. This is the easiest way to complete the Blackout challenge. With Artifact of Swarms two Aurelionites spawn at half HP each, making Tricorn even more efficient.

Does the Halcyon Seed get stolen by Mithrix?

No. The Halcyon Seed is not stolen by Mithrix in Phase 4. When Phase 4 begins, Aurelionite spawns as your ally and helps you fight Mithrix while you are without items. This is a unique and powerful advantage of carrying a Halcyon Seed into the final fight.
