Your relentless doppelganger will invade every 10 minutes. An Umbra copies your entire build and spawns at the Teleporter every 10 minutes. It hits for only 4% of your damage but has all your items - proc explosions are the real danger. On death it drops one item from its inventory. Net effect on long runs: free items on a timer. The code is uniquely hidden in the game's logbook, not on a stage tablet.
Open the main menu Logbook, find the A Moment, Fractured entry, and look under the 3D diorama. The code is on the underside of the model. Only artifact code hidden in the logbook.
The Artifact of Vengeance code is the only one not found on a stage tablet. It is hidden under the diorama model in the A Moment, Fractured logbook entry - accessible from the main menu at any time without needing to be in a run.
Timer-based - cannot spawn on stages with a stopped timer. Spawns near the Teleporter on normal stages; at your current position on stages without one.
All items, all equipment, all hidden items (including DrizzlePlayerHelper). The Umbra is your build turned against you. The more items you have, the more dangerous it becomes.
Hidden Invincibility buff for 3 seconds after spawning. You cannot kill it immediately on arrival. Plan around the brief window before it starts attacking.
HP bar shown at top of screen. Armor-Piercing Rounds deal +20% damage to it. Screen turns deep purple while alive. Susceptible to Old Guillotine below 13% HP.
Umbra damage is multiplied by 0.04. Despite having your full build, it hits far softer than you. The threat comes from item procs (Behemoth explosions, band procs) rather than raw hits.
One item from its inventory, weighted toward commons due to drop chance bias. With Command active, this becomes a chooseable Command Essence. Free item every 10 minutes.
Engi turrets inherit all items including the Vengeance special item. Each killed turret also drops an item. Purple screen persists until all turrets holding the item are dead.
Two doppelgangers spawn per invasion, each at half max HP. Doubles the free item drops but also doubles the chaos.
4% damage multiplier means a direct hit from your Umbra barely dents you. The real threat is item procs - if you have Brilliant Behemoth, the Umbra's explosions fire at full proc rate and hit for 60% bonus damage. Avoid running into its AoE radius and burst it down quickly with Armor-Piercing Rounds.
Umbra drops an item on death anyway. With Sacrifice active, every 10-minute invasion also gives you a free enemy-kill item drop. Item generation accelerates over long runs.
The Umbra's dropped item becomes a Command Essence. Free chosen item every 10 minutes. On long loops with multiple Umbra kills this compounds into major item advantage.
Two Umbrae per invasion, each at half HP. Two free items every 10 minutes. Both are weaker individually - easier to burst down with AoE. Good net positive.
Your Umbra has 5x damage output with 10% health. Despite the 4% damage multiplier, Glass proc explosions from the Umbra can still connect and one-shot you. Extremely dangerous.
Umbra gains items alongside monsters between stages. A late-loop Umbra with Evolution stacks has proc chains that can be lethal even at 4% multiplier. Very high difficulty.
Free item every 10 minutes on average. The Umbra hits softly (4% damage) and is counterable with burst. A net positive on long runs. Good for challenge and item farming.
The Artifact of Vengeance spawns a doppelganger (Umbra) of every player every 10 minutes. The Umbra copies all items and equipment you have at the time of spawning. It counts as a boss, hits for 4% of your damage, but drops one random item from its inventory on death. Net result on long runs: free items every 10 minutes.
The Artifact of Vengeance code is ♦■■ ♦●■ ♦■■ - the left column is all Diamonds, the center column is Square-Circle-Square, the right column is all Squares. The code is hidden under the diorama in the A Moment, Fractured environment log - open the logbook from the main menu and look beneath the 3D model.
The Umbra deals only 4% of normal player damage despite having your full item build. It hits softly in terms of raw attacks. The danger comes from item procs - Brilliant Behemoth explosions, band procs, and AoE items still fire at full proc rates and can connect. A well-built player can kill the Umbra quickly with Armor-Piercing Rounds and Old Guillotine.
Yes. The Umbra drops one random item from its inventory on death, weighted toward commons. With Artifact of Command active it becomes a Command Essence you choose. With Swarms active two Umbrae spawn, each dropping an item. This makes long Vengeance runs a source of steady item generation.
The code is in the A Moment, Fractured logbook entry. Open the main menu, go to the logbook, find the A Moment, Fractured environment log entry, and look under the 3D diorama model. The code is displayed on the underside. It is the only environment log in the game containing an artifact code.
In Bulwark's Ambry, an Umbra for each player spawns every time you use an Artifact Key on the Reliquary, except the last key use. In a solo run that's 3 Umbrae you must kill while also gathering keys. In multiplayer it becomes one Umbra per player per key use - a significant challenge.
