Replace broken drones with Lemurian Eggs. Each egg costs one item to hatch a Lemurian ally - and every other Lemurian in your flock receives that item too. Lemurians evolve after each teleporter boss into Elite Lemurians, then Elder Lemurians, then Elite Elder Lemurians with Perfected affixes. They scale with player level and share a unified item pool. The code is in the Abyssal Depths logbook diorama - originally revealed via the official RoR2 Twitter/X account.
Found under the Abyssal Depths environment log diorama in the Logbook. Originally revealed on the official Risk of Rain 2 Twitter/X account before being added to the game. One of two logbook codes (Vengeance is the other).
Lemurians evolve after every teleporter boss kill. Each evolution increases their HP and damage by 10% and grants them an additional stack of all held items.
| Level | Trigger | Form | Bonus |
|---|---|---|---|
| Level 0 | Hatched from egg | Basic Lemurian (leather vest) | Wears items offered |
| Level 1 | Teleporter boss kill | Elite Lemurian (Tier 1 elite affix) | +10% HP/DMG, gains 1 item stack |
| Level 2 | Teleporter boss kill | Elder Lemurian (no elite) | +10% HP/DMG, gains 1 item stack |
| Level 3 | Teleporter boss kill | Elite Elder Lemurian (Tier 1/2/Perfected randomly) | +10% HP/DMG, gains 1 item stack |
A flock of Level 3 Elite Elder Lemurians with legendaries is one of the strongest forces in the game. Perfected Elite Elder Lemurians drain player cooldowns on hit - keep them away from yourself with Artifact of Chaos active.
Choose every item and duplicate every choice to all Lemurians. A single Command Essence offers an item that the entire flock receives simultaneously. Build a shared legendary army.
All enemies are elites and every Lemurian kill is an elite kill. Brainstalks and Old Guillotine proc on every flock kill. After a few evolutions, Lemurians become elite Elders themselves.
Hatch Lemurians with an item and they'll drop scrap if they die. Combined with Sacrifice drops from kills, more loot flows into the run. The flock becomes a loot-generating army.
Double enemy spawns means the flock has more targets. More kills = faster evolution. Lemurians become Elites and Elders faster with Swarms active.
Strongest mid-to-late game modifier in the set. Early Lemurians are fragile. By Stage 4 with evolved Elite Elders carrying legendaries, the flock outperforms most other modifiers.
All monsters gain items each stage AND Lemurians also gain items from new hatches. By Stage 4, evolved Lemurian Elders with stacked legendaries compete with evolution-itemized enemies.
The Artifact of Devotion replaces all broken drones and turrets with Lemurian Eggs. Interacting with an egg lets you offer one item to hatch a Lemurian ally. Every existing Lemurian also receives that item. Lemurians evolve after each teleporter boss kill - becoming Elite Lemurians, then Elder Lemurians, then Elite Elder Lemurians. They scale with player level and share all offered items across the flock.
The Artifact of Devotion code is ▲♦▲ ■♦■ ♦▲♦ - Triangle-Diamond-Triangle on top, Square-Diamond-Square in the middle, Diamond-Triangle-Diamond on the bottom. The code appears under the Abyssal Depths logbook diorama. It was originally posted on the official Risk of Rain 2 Twitter/X account and not initially findable in-game.
Yes. Every Lemurian in your flock shares the same item pool. When you offer an item to hatch a new Lemurian, every existing Lemurian immediately receives a copy of that item too. This makes each new egg you hatch a mass upgrade for the entire flock.
Lemurians evolve after each teleporter boss kill. At Level 1 they become a Tier 1 Elite Lemurian. At Level 2 they transform into an Elder Lemurian without an elite modifier. At Level 3 they become an Elite Elder Lemurian with a randomly chosen Tier 1, Tier 2, or Perfected elite affix. Each evolution also grants them a bonus stack of their items and +10% HP and damage.
You cannot offer lunar items, void items, meal items, scrap, or items on the devotion/turret blacklist. Only common, uncommon, legendary, and boss items are eligible. Sprint-related items can be offered but provide no benefit since Lemurians cannot sprint.
When a devoted Lemurian dies, it drops a piece of scrap matching the rarity of the item originally offered to hatch it. This scrap can be used at a Scrapper. The Lemurian is permanently gone - it does not respawn unless you find and interact with another egg.
